Shipping & Delivery | Free Shipping, Always!

BASIC SHIPPING INFORMATION

For all Cedarshed online U.S. orders, our listed price includes standard motor freight shipping and delivery to your door. This policy covers the continental U.S.; if you are in Alaska or Hawaii, please give us a call to discuss ocean freight options.

Note: Shed accessories and options cannot be shipped individually and must be included as part of a complete shed order.

SHIPPING TO THE USA: THE BORDER IS ON US

All our shed kits ship directly from our facility in the North Okanagan, British Columbia. While your shed is coming from Canada, we’ve taken the "international" out of international shipping. Because Cedarshed is a registered importer, we handle the entire customs process from start to finish.

No SSN or Tax ID Required: You no longer need to provide personal identification numbers for customs.

Hassle-Free Clearance: We take care of all the paperwork, duties, and brokerage fees before it reaches you.

Domestic Feel: Your order is treated just like a domestic delivery. You won’t get any surprise calls from customs brokers or bills for import fees—we’ve got it all covered.

DELIVERY TIMEFRAME

Our average lead time is 3-4 weeks from the moment you place your order to the day it arrives. While this can shift slightly depending on seasonal demand or your specific location, we always work to get your cedar kit on the road as quickly as possible.

You will receive a tracking number via email the moment your order leaves our facility. If you need a more specific delivery window, feel free to chat with our team at 1-800-830-8033.

DELIVERY & UNLOADING: WHAT TO EXPECT

We use specialized freight carriers equipped to make delivery as easy as possible. Here is how the process typically works:

The Liftgate Advantage (95% of orders): In almost all cases, our trucks arrive with a hydraulic liftgate. This means the driver can lower the entire pallet directly onto the street or the end of your driveway. You won't need to lift a finger until the kit is safely on the ground.

When a Liftgate Isn't Possible: In very rare instances (roughly 5% of deliveries), factors like a steep street slope, narrow road width, or heavy traffic may prevent the driver from using the liftgate safely. In these specific cases, or if a liftgate truck isn't available in your area, the shipment will need to be unloaded by hand.

Your Role in the Unload: If a manual unload is required, the driver will get the truck as close to your property as possible. While they aren't obligated to assist with the offloading, the kits are packed in manageable sections (no more than 35 lbs) that are easy for two people to move piece-by-piece.

Help Us Help You: If your delivery location has potential challenges—like tight access or steep grades—please let us know when you order. The more we know ahead of time, the better we can coordinate the right equipment to prevent a manual offload.

PRO TIPS FOR A SMOOTH DROP-OFF:

Tool Kit: Have a pair of wire cutters ready to snip the strapping once you're ready to transport the kit to site of assembly

The "Two-Person" Rule: Even with a liftgate, we recommend having at least one extra set of hands available when you're ready to move the individual panels to your backyard or garage.

Scheduling: We always recommend waiting until the kit is physically on your property before you have your assembly crew or contractor show up.  The kit comes covered with lumber wrap offering some weather resistance.

AFTER DELIVERY

Once the cedar is safely on your property, the disposal of the wooden pallet and packaging material is the responsibility of the homeowner. (Many of our customers find the pallets great for DIY projects or firewood!)
